I created this stylized version of the Leopard 2 main battle tank (Germany) as a personal training project to refine my 3D asset workflow.
The entire modeling process was done in Autodesk Maya, including the initial blockout, detailed modeling, and retopology to ensure an optimized mesh suitable for real-time use in game or environment art.
After modeling, I imported the asset into Substance Painter to handle baking (high-to-low detail transfer) and texturing. My focus was on achieving a slightly weathered, worn metal surface with a clean, stylized hand-painted visual approach. The tank features clearly segmented armor panels, defined shapes, and a cohesive green-toned material scheme, as seen in the renders.
This tank model was created as a skill-building exercise, aiming to improve my efficiency and consistency across the entire 3D production pipeline.
